Using our accordion fans and a ping pong ball to create a painting with wind
To start to visualize wind and air movement and apply it to making artwork
1st
Place a piece of paper (at least 11 x17") in a box top or other container
Put some paint on a ping pong ball (more liquid paint works better!)

3rd
Three or Four students at a time can use their paper accordion fans to make the ping pong ball roll around on the paper.
4th
Each group of students can add a different color to create the final painting.
Note:
If the ball is getting stuck, try using thinner paint.
You can also blow through paper straws to move the ball! Is it easier to move the ball with the fan or by blowing through the straw? Why do you think that is?
