The design process will include these steps:
Think & Dream
A good example of signals are "the launch of chatGPT" or "the fall of the iconic tunnel tree redwood" and good examples of drivers would be "artificial intelligence" or "climate change"
Then, identify signals (glimpses of the future we already see today) and drivers (what made the signal possible)

3rd
Prototype
- Use your cardboard square (30 × 30 cm) as your art surface.
- Draw you design on the cardboard
- Make choices about your materials:
- Where materials go
- How they overlap
- How empty space is used
What to remember: This is art, not decoration There is no “right” answer. Your piece should feel intentional

Complete your artwork
Before you finish, look at your piece and ask:
- Can something stand up, stick out, or hang?
- Can materials layer, cross, or overlap?
- Can your weaving move away from the cardboard?
What to try:
- Bend materials forward
- Let woven parts extend past the edges
- Stack or lift pieces using cardboard or folded paper
Art does not have to stay on the surface. Your artwork can use space, depth, and movement.
5th
Wall of Recyclos
- Place all cardboard pieces next to each other.
- Adjust spacing and orientation so the mural feels connected.
- Step back and look at the whole artwork.
We can take everyday recycled materials and turn them into a part of a bigger story. Each piece you make is your creation, but together, we form one giant, colorful wall.
