What is a Storyboard:
A storyboard is like a picture plan for a movie, video, or animation. It shows what will happen in each scene, with drawings or images that help you see how things will move and look. It’s like a comic strip that helps you organize and plan the story before you start filming or animating.
What is a Script: The script takes all of the visual ideas from the storyboard and turns them into written instructions. It focuses on what’s heard (dialogue, narration, sound effects) and what’s happening at each moment in words (actions, movements, emotions).
- Each scene in the script corresponds to a frame from a storyboard.
- The script is like the spoken version of the storyboard that explains why things are happening, what the characters are saying, and how things feel.
ACTIVITY PROMPT
Script
Start by writing a simple script that outlines the actions and the sounds for each scene. Think about what you want to convey through sound effects, like chopping, sizzling, or music, as well as the overall mood or energy.
Storyboard
Once the script is ready, create a storyboard to plan the visuals of each scene. For each frame, describe the actions and how they match the sounds. For example, if you have a chopping sound, describe how the knife moves and how it syncs with the sound.
